Scissor Lifts for Rent in Dammam

What to consider when renting scissor lifts

Hiring scissor lifts goes more smoothly when the basics are settled before you ask for prices. These points shape the quote:

• Start from the specification: max working height and platform capacity are what separate one set of scissor lifts from another, so note them down before you ask for rates.
• Check who will run it. Scissor lifts are often dry hire, so if nobody on your crew is qualified, ask the supplier whether an operator can be added.
• Check working height and outreach against the actual task. Working height assumes a person standing on the platform, so the platform floor is lower than the figure quoted.
• Share the site location, access route and start date so the supplier can confirm availability for your dates.
• Rates on Arabian Tool are in SAR and exclude VAT, so ask whether your quote is inclusive or exclusive.

Choosing the right scissor lift size

Scissor lifts are usually specified by max working height. On Arabian Tool you can browse these classes: 8m, 10m, 12m, 14m and 18m.

Working height assumes a person standing on the platform, so the platform floor is typically a couple of metres lower than the figure quoted. Check horizontal outreach as well as height before choosing a class.

If you prefer a particular make, these have dedicated pages: JLG, Haulotte, Dingli and Sinoboom. Standardising on one brand can simplify parts and operator training.

What affects the price of renting scissor lifts

Quotes for scissor lifts differ from supplier to supplier. These are the factors that move the price:

• Duration: longer hires are usually priced lower per day, and many suppliers quote daily, weekly and monthly rates.
• Site and access: remote sites, restricted access and special permits can add cost.
• Machine size and age: larger, newer or better-equipped machines are priced higher.

Dammam is the capital of the Eastern Province and a leading commercial and port city on the Saudi Gulf coast, close to the Kingdom's oil and gas facilities. For industrial and power, as well as construction work, scissor lifts are core equipment.

They are also hired for ceiling, MEP and fire-system installation, as well as warehouse and retail maintenance.

Industrial areas, ports and project sites such as King Abdulaziz Port, Dammam, as well as Dammam Second Industrial City are part of the picture around Dammam. Say which site you are working at so suppliers can quote delivery properly.

Nearby bases and their straight-line distance from Dammam: Al Khobar (about 20 km), Dhahran (about 15 km) and Jubail (about 80 km). Delivery is priced on the actual route and the machine's size, so ask each supplier for a delivered price.
